PRIVATE THERAPY
Compassionate, Personalized Care for Lasting Emotional Healing
Reaching out for support isn't always easy.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction, overwhelming stress, or simply feeling stuck, you've already taken an important first step by exploring your options.
For more than 45 years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals facing some of life's most difficult challenges. My role is to provide a safe, supportive environment where we can better understand what's happening, reduce emotional distress, and help you move toward greater well-being.
Every person brings a unique story, which is why I believe therapy should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we'll determine the best path forward based on your needs, goals, and experiences.
WHO I HELP
I work with adults seeking support for a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns, including:
✔ Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD)
✔ Anxiety and Chronic Stress
✔ Panic attacks
✔ Grief and loss
✔ Addiction and recovery
✔ Depression
✔ Phobias and Fears
✔ Performance anxiety
✔ Relationship Challenges
✔ Life Transitions
✔ Emotional Overwhelm
✔ Personal Growth and Resilience
Some people come to therapy because of a recent event. Others have been carrying emotional pain for many years.
Whatever brings you here, my goal is to help you find practical tools, greater understanding, and renewed hope for the future.
MY APPROACH
One of the things I've learned throughout my career is that no single therapeutic approach works for everyone.
Every individual experiences emotional distress differently, and effective therapy begins by understanding the whole person rather than simply focusing on symptoms.
My work draws from decades of experience in psychology, trauma treatment, experiential therapy, and energy medicine. When appropriate, I may also incorporate Thought Field Therapy (TFT), a specialized approach that helps reduce emotional distress by working with both the mind and the body's energetic response.
Some sessions focus primarily on conversation, insight, and problem-solving.
Others may include practical techniques that help calm the body's stress response, making it easier to process difficult experiences and move forward.
The approach is always tailored to your individual needs.
WHAT IS THOUGHT FIELD THERAPY?
Some individuals may have heard of Emotional Freedom Technique or other forms of Energy Psychology and wonder about how TFT is related. TFF is the original tapping technique from which EFT was developed.
Thought Field Therapy is one of several therapeutic tools I may incorporate into our work together.
TFT uses specific tapping sequences while focusing on emotional distress to help reduce the intensity of difficult emotions. Many clients find that this approach allows them to process challenging experiences with less emotional overwhelm and greater clarity.
Not every session includes TFT, and not every client needs the same approach.
My goal is never to fit you into a particular method. Instead, I use the tools that best support your individual healing process.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, especially if this is your first experience working with a psychotherapist.
Our initial sessions are an opportunity for us to get to know one another.
We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, your goals, your history, and any questions you may have about the process. Together, we'll develop an approach that feels appropriate for your situation.
Throughout our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported.
Therapy isn't about having all the answers. It's about working together to discover new possibilities for healing and growth.
WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING
“The willingness to face my buried emotional trauma and unhealed pain combined with the specialized trauma work with Dr. Robert L. Bray, has allowed for a successful outcome. With the use of thought field therapy (TFT Tapping) as an important part of that therapy, it allowed me to emotionally heal. Not only did the Tapping help rewire my brain, it also gave me an instant tool to help myself in any upsetting situation. Working with Dr Bray and learning his Tapping techniques to help myself learn how to quickly get out of the emotional reaction brain and into the thinking brain, and to face and heal my emotional trauma, has been the best self-care and the best gift I’ve ever given myself!”
